In today’s global economy, attaining a competitive edge is vital. For earning profits, there are two ways. Either you can increase your selling cost or you can decrease your manufacturing cost. Done properly, outsourcing manufacturing can shave substantial costs and maximize profits. Outsourcing the manufacturing, in many cases, is much more time and cost effective. Also, the business needs are met with less stress and the product is of a higher quality. Outsourcing production has helped to eliminate the time and energy spent on day. Business development and customer service, in turn, has become the main corporate focus.
This rising demand of outsourcing has led to the coining of many outsourcing companies who take up all or certain part of your work load to reduce stress on you and benefit them as well. Mexico is not the lowest cost country for production (at least four times higher for labor than China). Doing manufacturing in Mexico in focused around building a relationship of trust. Mexico does not have nearly the labor problems common in the US. The workforce is reliable, trainable, and generally very stable. Once a manufacturer is comfortable with dealing with Mexico, they see how much can be saved. You need to make sure the companies you deal with are specialists in those fields.
